Puzzle of Africa

Puzzle of Africa

When creating this unique set of jigsaw puzzles we decided to go back to the original concept of jigsaws. Jigsaw puzzles were invented in England in 1761 by John Spilsberry, who was a map supplier in London. He came up with the idea of a new educational tool – a puzzle in the form of a map cut into pieces. The idea was that students would improve their knowledge of geography by arranging the pieces to reconstruct the map.

The puzzle has evolved with the passing of time so that nowadays it is a popular and fun pastime. However, we have decided to recreate the original ones and to offer our customers a series of jigsaws based on maps from all over the world.

This map puzzle is cut by the countries’ borders of Africa.
